About McDermid

Home | About

McDermid Supply Company was formed on the 1st November 2002.

The brainchild of Calum and the late Eilidh McDermid, it remains an independent family owned business. Steady, continued growth from our Greystone site, saw incorporation to a Limited company in 2007. The need for more and more space saw building works literally double our floor space.

Later when the building next door became available, it was too good to miss and this now forms our main showroom area. Shortly afterwards, the warehouse to the rear of the site became available and it now forms our bulk storage facility.

Continued growth and success.

Throughout this period of sustained growth, staff numbers grew to 14 in 2022. Continued investment in new vehicles, material handling equipment, information technology, staff training and shop layout put us on a very good footing for future growth.

The opening of McDermid Tool Outlet in St Marys Industrial estate sees the start of the next chapter in our story so far. These additional premises will allow us to offer our customers an even wider range of quality products and provide an even better service. Exciting Times!
